I bring to the mediation and facilitation process, a wealth of personal experience in dealing with people going through very difficult and anxious times in their lives. My clients and their opponents have been people engaged in highly contentious and often bitter legal disputes.

There is always emotion, often anger at someone and fear of the process and the possible outcome. There is always anxiety at the enormous cost of legal proceedings.

I have found most people (and organisations) are willing to resolve their differences and disputes by agreeing to a settlement process and negotiation in good faith.

I have extensive negotiation experience and skill and use this to assist people work out what would best suite them in a settlement. This process involves understanding of the process, the dynamics of the law and personalities involved and with a fair knowledge of the likely outcome if the dispute is not resolved and settled.

I am totally committed to assisting people overcome impasses and blockages in the mediation process. I encourage participants to rely upon the legal advice they receive however my skills as a mediator are to ensure negotiations keep moving toward the joint goal of agreement and settlement. I am skilled in helping overcome hurdles, emotions and road blocks that often arise during mediation.

I have a panel of mediators who I use in their areas of expertise in the event I am booked and cannot do your mediation personally or if an area of expertise and knowledge is required which I don’t have.
